Dark ruby red.
Nose
Redcurrants, raspberries, a hint of vanilla.
Palate
Medium body. Plenty of mouth-filling fruit - redcurrants, berry fruit, and stewed rhubarb. A pleasant acid balance, and good fine tannins. Rounded off by spicy complexities and a subtle touch of vanilla oak.
Overall
An exceptionally pleasant, well balanced and enjoyable wine, at an incredible price. Mouthfilling, reasonably tightly structured, very flavoursome but at the same time bright and lively. At this price it's almost stealing, but push the guilt aside and drink up anyway.
