Appearance

Bright, even scarlet red.

Nose

Ripe plums, intense vanilla, and a slightly mineral character.

Palate

Medium bodied. Plenty of ripe black plums and cherries on the front palate, a good acid balance and smooth tannins. Oaky characters linger on the finish, with vanilla and a little tobacco.

Overall

Straightforward, fruit-led wine with a pleasant acid balance and some interesting notes. Robust enough to accompany most foods, or to drink on its own. Very good drinking for the price.
